Support for informal care is a social service that is legislated and dependant on appropriation.
Support for informal care means an entity that includes services that a patient needs, a reward for the caretaker, free time and services that support informal care that are defined in caretaking and service plan. The caretaker should be a relative or some other person who is close to the patient.
More information about the grounds for granting support for informal care and direction for applying is given by Lea Huttunen, non-institutional care supervisor. Phone number: 040 708 4691.
